When purchasing new windows, doors, conservatories or orangeries, energy efficiency should be high on the agenda for every consumer. Approximately a quarter of the heat lost from the average home escapes through inadequate glazing and poor quality windows and doors. This affects the environment and has an impact on home comfort and energy costs.
Current building regulations for England and Wales state that new and replacement windows of all types and materials now need to have a BFRC Window Energy Rating (WER) of ‘C’ or above. By incorporating new technically advanced glazing, our PVCu windows comfortably achieve an ‘A’-energy efficiency rating. This will reduce energy loss from your home by offering up to three times more thermal insulation than standard double glazing and a +20% efficiency advantage over low-E thermally insulated glass.
The outer pane of our ‘A’ rated windows allows optimal amounts of the sun’s energy through the glass into the room providing free solar heating. The inner pane uses an advanced glass coating technology which reflects heat from inside
the room back into the room. This technology is now offered by Warmlite as standard and at no additional cost.
How much could you save?
In a few steps you can easily and simply work out how much you could save by upgrading your windows to efficient Energy Rated windows. Who will also get other benefits such as higher security and noise reduction over single glazed windows.
